Sunny coldness embraced us the next morning after landing on Seattle-Tacoma Airport. The first steps of the road trip through three states of the Pacific Coastline were beginning to take shape. Well rested, after a tedious 12 hour turned into 16 hour flight due to a freeze lay-over in Dallas-Ft. Worth, we began the exploration of the Washington coastline. The outskirts of Seattle provided the setting for a pseudo feng shui premonition of the road ahead. Four incidental friends were surrounded by the winter livability of the State of Washington. The textures, smells, and sounds of the locality turned into bitter-sweetness the bitter cold that enveloped their bodies; blessing the knowledge of layering. As the sunset of that first afternoon pointed out the commencing act of the sights yet to be seen.
