Bursting out from the underground indie scene comes this new band called Campo-Formio. The bizarre album art cover induces us with an image of the collateral sounds we might expect from this EP, recorded live on November 28, 2008. The band origins began on August from that year, joining Fernando Quintero, the one responsible for the simple-minded lyrics, electric guitar and vocals mixed with band members Diego Bernal on the drums and Ricardo Pérez playing the bass.

Alexandra Burke: Overcoming the X-Factor

Having won the same show that launched Leona Lewis into superstardom and, on top of that, having earned Beyonce’s seal of approval after performing a duet of her power ballad, Listen, with her; Alexandra Burke is definitely under pressure to impress with the release of her debut album Overcome. The girl captivated audiences and judge Simon Cowell on the show The X-Factor by successfully tackling songs from big singers like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, and Christina Aguilera. After her victory, the British Pop/R&B singer has been prepping for the release of her album by hitting studios both in the U.K. and America. Thankfully, Alexandra sets herself apart from other singing competition winners by not being just another “ballad-whore” and deciding to make up-beat dace songs the priority in her career.

Muse Joins The Resistance

Muse has made another album masterpiece with The Resistance, their fifth studio album released on September 15 in the United States. The record brings us influences that range from Queen to Depeche Mode. The Resistance is the first album produced by the band itself. The LP feels very theatrical, with the remarkable vocalizations that Matt Bellamy offers to the songs. It’s something like Showbiz, very smoothly arranged with the progressive rock infusion of the band.

We Got This Far Hits with Blunt Force Volume

altWe Got This Far, an industrial metal band, makes its album debut on August 21 for our lads on the UK and on October 13 in the United States. The band origins go back to 2006 when Ollie Marsh and Jason Silva joined forces while working on STORMDRAIN, birthing the We Got This Far project the next year. Blunt Force Volume was mastered by Tom Baker, who has collaborated in the productions of artists such as Rob Zombie and Nine Inch Nails. We can see the subtle resemblance with WGTF’s hard-rock electro fusions. The album pushes on the right track with a strong force behind it.
